DR4i Version 6.1 Released
A new product which uses the Apply technology used in the Receiver Apply Program is now available for download. Aimed at those companies who do not require a full High Availability solution the product requires only to be installed on the target system. Its new Administration interface and configuration screens have been simplified to ensure it can be installed by anyone. It also has a new PHP based monitoring interface which will alow a single page to show the entire status of the apply processing and server activity.

Version 6.1 FTP Client released
System i users who have found it difficult to properly configure the IBM i OS FTP functions to render information that isn't garbled upon transmission to a PC platform may find a solution with the latest release of Shield Advanced Solutions' FTP Client. With version 6.1, Shield says it has taken care of disparities in default CCSID settings in IBM i OS that tend to turn information into garbage at the other end of the FTP pipe.(More...)

Shield Advanced Solutions this month issued a major new release of JobQGenie, itsi/OS utility that ensures the contents of job queues can be recovered following an unexpected outage by enabling job queues to be replicated through standard high availability (HA) software.
